WLCC Membership Renewal and Cancellation Policy
The World Luxury Chamber of Commerce (WLCC) is committed to providing Members with clear and transparent terms regarding the duration, renewal, cancellation, and fees associated with their membership.
This Policy applies to WLCC membership and should be read together with the WLCC Code of Conduct and other applicable membership terms.
1. Membership Term
WLCC membership is granted for a period of 12 months from the Member’s individual membership activation date.
Membership is considered activated upon receipt of the applicable membership fee and confirmation of membership by WLCC.
The membership expiration date will be communicated to the Member upon activation.
Membership does not renew automatically.
2. Renewal
Approximately 30 days before the membership expiration date, WLCC will notify the Member of the opportunity to renew their membership for a further 12-month term.
A Member has the right to renew at the same membership tier for the next membership term.
Renewal will be offered at the current WLCC membership fee applicable to that tier at the time of renewal. The renewal fee may therefore differ from the fee paid for the previous membership term.
A Member who wishes to move to a higher membership tier may request consideration for an upgrade as part of the renewal process. Membership tier upgrades are subject to WLCC review and approval. If an upgrade is approved, the membership fee applicable to the upgraded tier at the time of renewal will apply.
Upon renewal, a new 12-month membership term will commence.
3. Non-Renewal
A Member is under no obligation to renew their membership.
If a Member chooses not to renew, no further membership payment will be required and the membership will conclude automatically at the end of the current membership term.
Membership benefits and privileges will remain active until the applicable expiration date, unless otherwise provided under the WLCC Code of Conduct or other applicable WLCC terms.
4. Voluntary Cancellation
A Member may request to cancel their membership at any time by notifying WLCC.
Unless the Member specifically requests immediate termination, membership benefits and privileges will remain active until the expiration of the current paid membership term.
If a Member requests immediate termination, membership benefits and privileges will cease accordingly.
Cancellation does not entitle the Member to a full or partial refund of membership fees already paid.
5. Membership Fees and Refunds
All WLCC membership fees are non-refundable.
No full or partial refund will be provided where a Member:
- chooses not to continue their membership;
- voluntarily cancels their membership before the end of the membership term;
- requests immediate termination of their membership; or
- has their membership terminated for cause by WLCC.
The non-refundable nature of membership fees applies regardless of the extent to which the Member has used or participated in WLCC membership benefits, opportunities, services, events, or activities during the applicable membership term.
6. Termination by WLCC
WLCC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for cause in accordance with the WLCC Code of Conduct and other applicable WLCC terms.
Grounds for such action may include serious or repeated violations of the Code of Conduct, material breaches of membership terms, misuse of WLCC platforms, relationships, resources, name or privileges, or conduct that materially compromises the integrity or reputation of WLCC or its community.
Where membership is terminated for cause, membership benefits and privileges will cease as determined by WLCC.
Membership fees already paid will remain non-refundable.
7. Relationship to the WLCC Code of Conduct
This Policy governs the administrative and financial terms relating to membership duration, renewal, non-renewal, tier upgrades, voluntary cancellation, and membership fees.
Standards of professional and ethical conduct, as well as the consequences of misconduct, are governed by the WLCC Code of Conduct.
Where termination of membership results from a violation of the Code of Conduct, the termination provisions of the Code of Conduct and the non-refundable fee provisions of this Policy will apply.
8. Member Responsibility
Members are responsible for reviewing renewal information and other membership communications provided by WLCC and for notifying WLCC if they wish to request a membership tier upgrade or voluntarily terminate their membership.
As WLCC membership does not renew automatically, no renewal fee will be charged solely as a result of the expiration of the existing membership term.
Acknowledgment
By joining or renewing membership with the World Luxury Chamber of Commerce, the Member acknowledges and accepts the terms of this WLCC Membership Renewal and Cancellation Policy, together with the WLCC Code of Conduct and other applicable membership terms.
